SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda renewed its partnership with StarTimes

SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda has renewed its partnership with Africa’s leading digital television operator, StarTimes to empower young people to provide internships and job placements for youth under SOS care and youth projects.

The two-year agreement aims to support SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda in its noble cause of empowering youth with skills through mentorship and job placement.
During the signing of the partnership agreement, the leadership of the two organizations highlighted the importance of the partnership agreement that leads to empowering young people to prepare for their best future.

Mr. Jean Bosco Kwizera, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda, appreciated that StarTimes is collaborating with SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda to empower young people to compete in the labour market.

“Supporting young people to reduce unemployment is everyone’s concern; we encourage corporates to support young people as StarTimes does for the interests of our country. SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda counts 49,000 young people that need support. We appreciate this partnership and believe that most of our young people will benefit from it.”

Muvunyi Nestor, the Marketing Manager who represented StarTimes Rwanda said that StarTimes will continue to empower young people to compete in the labour market.

“We have been working with SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda since 2019 and we gained good results from the partnership. This partnership will be also an opportunity for the youth to reach their goals,“ explained Nestor Muvunyi.
